About

My Beginnings as a Massage Therapist:
I grew up in Orange County, California, surrounded by the energy of a vibrant health-conscious community. My journey into massage therapy began in the late 1990s, a time when I was exploring holistic wellness on a personal level. While working at a popular health food store, I was introduced to Network Spinal Analysis chiropractic care, meditation, and the profound connection between body and mind. These experiences helped me feel—on a deeply personal level—the unity of the bodymind.

Since then, I’ve built a career spanning over 25 years, honing my skills across a variety of settings. I moved to Pittsburgh in 2012, and opened Fourth River Holistic, in 2015. While my passion for supporting clients on their wellness journeys remains at the heart of my practice, I uphold strong therapeutic boundaries and bring professionalism and experience to every session. My focus is on creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported—empowering them to reconnect with their own well-being.
My Spiritual Journey Intertwines with My Massage Therapist Journey:
My path to becoming a massage therapist has always been more than a career choice—it’s a calling that intertwines body, mind, and spirit. Early on, I was drawn to holistic healing, attracted by the notion that true wellness transcends physical techniques and taps into the vibrational energies that nurture our entire being. Even as an eight year old, I had a pet rock.
I am a Reiki Master, having received my third degree initiation in 2015. This milestone deepened my understanding of energy work and the transformative power of subtle vibrations. My journey took another profound turn during a dedicated four-year study of the sacred traditions of Shri Vidya under a revered spiritual teacher from India. There, I learned to connect with the subtle body and release those invisible ties that bind us, paving the way for a truly integrated healing experience.

Foundational studies in Cranial Sacral and Polarity Therapy, through the Life Energy Institute, of Topanga Canyon, CA, have also played a pivotal role in shaping my work, refining the quality of touch I bring to each session. That is where I encountered a favorite teacher who taught me to always ask, “What is the medicine here,” and helped me develop a holistic approach to massage therapy.
Currently, I am enrolled in the Spinal Flow Academy—a training program that integrates principles from Cranial Sacral and Polarity Therapy with Network Spinal Analysis. In the near future, I will offer Spinal Flow techniques to help release energetic blockages in the spine and alleviate muscle tension. This ongoing education enriches my intuitive, hybrid-pressure approach, which drops overall tension while targeting specific focus areas with precision.
A distinctive aspect of my practice is what I call the unsong melody. At times during a session, a spontaneous vibrational tone or melody emerges—a channeled resonance rather than a background note. This unsong melody isn’t something I learned intentionally; it has naturally unfolded throughout my years of practice, emerging as a refined expression of the energy flowing through me. It reflects a deeper knowing, a subtle, healing vibration that underscores the intimate connection between touch and energetic release. At Fourth River Holistic, I weave together these diverse influences—from structured technique to spontaneous, intuitive resonance—to offer a massage experience that is both profoundly personal and professionally grounded. I invite you to embark on a journey where every touch, every breath, and every unsong melody is a testament to your body’s innate wisdom and transformative potential.
